Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Cake Designer to join the team at IIQAF. As Cake Designer, you will be responsible for creating edible works of art for customers special occasions, as well as contributing to the development of new cake designs.Responsibilities

  • Create cakes of the highest quality in line with customer requests and within the custom cake design guidelines set out by IIQAF.
  • Demonstrate an imaginative and creative flair to all cake designs.
  • Develop innovative and creative cake designs to add to IIQAFs portfolio.
  • Ensure all cakes are baked and decorated in a safe and hygienic manner.
  • Measure out ingredients and mix and bake cakes in various sizes and shapes.
  • Utilize a variety of ingredients, including food colorings, fruits, icings and other edible decorations to create unique cake designs.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the working area.
  • Assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients stock is up to date.
  • Keep records of ingredients and customers requests.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cake decoration/design.
  • Excellent the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Understanding of food health and safety standards.
  • Passionate about cake decorating.
  • Out-of-the-box creativity and artistic ability.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
