Business Development Manager - Freight ForwardingLocation: Dubai, UAE Experience: 3 to 10 Years Industry: Freight ForwardingKey Responsibilities:Business Development & Sales: - Identify and target potential customers in need of freight forwarding services - Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow market share. - Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and potential new business opportunities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.Client Relationship Management: - Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and addressing any client issues. - Provide customized solutions to meet the unique needs of each client. - Prepare and present tailored sales proposals and bids to prospective clients.Networking & Partnerships: - Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads. - Collaborate with shipping lines, carriers, and logistics partners to provide comprehensive freight forwarding solutions.Contract Negotiation: - Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients to ensure competitive pricing and profitability. - Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).Reporting & Analysis: - Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activity, market trends, and revenue forecasts. - Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with the operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery. - Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the companys freight forwarding services.Key Qualifications:Experience: 3 to 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of freight forwarding processes, customs regulations, and shipping logistics (air, sea, and land).Skills:- Strong negotiation, sales, and presentation skills.- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and market trends.- Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
