General InformationJob Title: Backend DeveloperDepartment: Our Awesome Tech DepartmentJob Location: Remote, around the world!What This Job Is AboutWere looking for a passionate back-end developer to join our dynamic and diverse tech team to help build and maintain the server-side operation and functionality of Seez products and websites. Our ideal candidate is passionate about building things and/or software/technology.Youll be responsible for the server-side code and APIs of our web applications. Youll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing features. Your work will impact the stability and quality of our web applications. Youll write reusable and maintainable code. Youll work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure system consistency and create a great user experience.Job Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and own your own features in our backend stack (ie. Order API, Listings API or third-party integrations
  • Create, maintain, test, and debug back-end web applications
  • Work with nodejs, postgres and graphql to develop serverless web applications on top of AWS infrastructure. (Familiarity with the aforementioned tech stack is preferred but not required)
  • Work alongside tech team-members and product team to define, develop and iterate new features
  • Deliver features in a timely manner
  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss updates, blockers and plan future work
What Youll Bring To The Party (Must Haves)
  • Minimum of 2 yrs previous experience
  • A love for dynamic, fast-paced, challenging and collaborative team environments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and shouldnt be afraid to take on challenges and propose feedback, where feedback is needed.
  • You have experience with programming languages like Nodejs, Python, PHP, Ruby or Java
  • You have a good understanding of the entire product development process
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • You have technical and consumer awareness
  • You can troubleshoot problems in the team and for users
  • Youre analytical and good at time management
  • You have great problem-solving skills and you work well in a team
  • Youre curious about new technologies and youre excited to find ways to implement them in your work
  • You can oversee and drive projects forward
