Key Responsibilities:? Repair & Restoration: Reupholster and refurbish old or damaged sofas, chairs, and other furniture pieces.? New Furniture Making: Cut, sew, and assemble upholstery materials to create new custom sofas and seating.? Frame & Padding Work: Attach padding, webbing, and springs to furniture frames.? Fabric & Leather Handling: Measure, cut, and stitch fabric or leather to fit furniture designs.? Cushion & Foam Shaping: Work with different foam densities to create comfortable and aesthetically pleasing seating.? Tools & Equipment: Use industrial sewing machines, staple guns, and other upholstery tools efficiently.? Customization & Detailing: Perform piping, tufting, and decorative upholstery finishes as per customer requirements.? Material Selection & Maintenance: Recommend and handle different upholstery materials for various projects.? Quality Control: Ensure all finished products meet company standards in craftsmanship and durability.? Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety procedures.
