Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled Chemist - Quality Control with a specialization in Paints & Coatings to join our team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field, with a strong background in paint formulation and testing. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of chemical processes, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and formulate paint and coating products according to customer and industry requirements
  2. Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure quality and performance standards
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to paint and coating formulations
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all formulation and testing activities
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in paint and coating technologies
  6. Provide technical support to customers, including addressing inquiries and resolving any product-related concerns
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of new product development projects
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years? experience in quality control of construction chemicals & surface coatings. Experience with quality control of raw materials in paint industry. Tinting / colour matching experience required
  3. Additional experience in building chemicals industry preferred.
