This position is responsible for providing a variety of transport services and assistance to patients and visitors PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?Provides patient and visitors of all ages transport services and assistance?Receives assignments from dispatcher and notifies appropriate personnel of patient pick-up/arrival?Verifies patient identification prior to transporting?Ensures proper handling of patient?s personal items and equipment and employs approved standard techniques in moving and transporting patients?Coordinates and is aware of all apparatus critical to the health, safety and life of patients?Assigns patient transport and service requests based on the time the call is received and priority related to the nature of the requests?May performs dispatching functions and additional Duties as assigned.
