JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for managing the technical and administrative functions of the Patient Transportation department.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?Models and promotes a culture of empathy, respect and ?patients first? for all transportation services activities?Helps manage quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the Transportation department?Interprets and ensures compliance with all appropriate codes and standards?Provides technical expertise on all matters related to transportation practices and technology?Provides patient and visitors of all ages transport services and assistance as volume requires.?Conducts training on transportation services procedures and practices ?Ensures proper handling of patient?s personal items and equipment and employs approved standard techniques in moving and transporting patients?Provides direct supervision of Transportation department team members?May performs dispatching functions and additional Duties as assigned.
