Job Purpose :To manage and ensure cost effective power and desalination (P&D) plant Instrumentation and Control (I&C) maintenance services, upgrades and repairs, to maximize availability in a continuously innovate manner to minimize unplanned downtime of power generation, balance of plant, water production, compressed air, and gas fuel supply systems in the assigned areas (including 3rd party customers, as applicable) whilst complying with EGA policies and standards.To ensure that all I&C maintenance planning activities in the P&D (Energy) Area are properly coordinated, planned, monitored, controlled & closed through efficient management of established key performance indicators in order to optimize plant availability, reliability, maintenance costs and Spares InventoryKey Accountabilities:? Manages and oversees all daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities of the I&C Maintenance Department to ensure that work processes are designed and implemented in a timely manner, in full compliance with established policies, processes and procedures.? Power Plant of 2350MW capacity with 23 Gas Turbines, 23 Heat Recovery Steam Generators, 7 Steam Turbines, Desalination Plant of 30MGPD capacity (with Product Water Blending and Distribution System), and essential auxiliary systems like Gas and Distillate Fuel Storage & Supply System, Compressed Air Supply & Distribution Systems, Sea Water Intake & Chlorination Plant System, all controlled by eight different types of OEM Control Systems and DCS.? eLOG System Server Management system, comprising of 25 clients, with more than 7000 points.? Online plant data acquisition system (PI-Historian) consisting of server management, 60 clients, and 30000 online data points.? EtaPRO Online Data Management System for Managers and Maintenance Departments, consisting of Server management and 25 clients with 40000 online data points.? Compressed Air Monitoring system (670 flow meters)? Water sales and billing systems for the external customers consist of server management and 10 GSM tariff flow meters.? Flow meters for water (plant-wide, residential area, water filling station, and external customers such as OASIS, KHALIJ SUGARS, Gulf EXTRUSION, ENOC etc)? Energy Management System (EMS), consisting of PMS, XA21 and auto synchronizer - acquiring data from over 180 RTUs of GE?s D2X IED family (D200, D20 and D25, with two distinct networks, namely Ruggedcom Ring and CISCO Ring, each with a combination of Hubs and Network Switches.? Over 11 OEM Control systems and more than 50 different sub-control system (PLCs).? Plant wide Gas systems (custody instruments, Gas Chromatographs and Ultrasonic gas flow meters)? State of the art Water Sales and Billing Systems for external customers, consisting of server management and 10 GSM-based tariff flow meters, ensuring accuracy of water sales quantity and hence revenue.
