Job Description

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist plans, coordinates and arranges shipments. The candidate provides analytical support for all aspects of the supply chain process and is able to communicate with clarity, in groups or in one-on-one situations, to key stakeholders.Key Accountabilities

  • Maritime shipping and logistics
  • Work with suppliers on the availability of product, production planning and lead times
  • Review production status daily to ensure on time delivery to warehouses
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, arrange, and monitor the transportation and movement of goods.
  • Arrange logistics with ocean freight carriers to ensure timely delivery for customers
Export Documentation
  • Prepare and handle necessary export documentations for all shipments, including banking documents under Letters of Credit (L/C) or Documentary Collections
  • Complete necessary customs filing
  • Review invoices for payment to ensure appropriate signing authority is obtained prior to submitting invoices to accounting for payment.
Freight Management
  • Review and negotiate freight and warehouse costs on a monthly basis or as needed
  • Seek, evaluate and onboard new shipping lines and/or warehouses
  • Inventory Management
  • Proactively monitor and identify any gaps between supply and demand and create and execute timely solutions to avoid out of stocks or storage costs
  • Accountable for maintaining and managing inventory levels across multiple warehouses
Post order monitoring
  • Monitor shipment movements
  • Continuously seek and implement best practices and new ways to optimize customer experience
  • Liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review and address claims submitted in a timely manner
