Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all kind of Mechanical Piping and structure activities in OIL STORAGE TANK Construction Work. Responsibility includes providing general assistance in construction such as project planning, project management, fabrication & erection. Follow up with contractors and bulk piping material control. Preparations of activity schedule for site works and arranging for execution production. SUPERVISING OF OIL STORAGE TANK FABRICATION. Assure all the dimension as Thickness, Length, width, Type of Materials. Project execution plan for Process & utility piping fabrication & Erection. To study Structure Details. Fit-up and Weld Visual inspection. Fabrication and erection of OIL STORAGE TANKS according to Isometric Drawings & support fabrication. Ensuring that the work is carried out on schedule, within budget and to the specified quality requirements. Ensure that appropriate safety procedures are implemented during the execution of the work, which will include the review of method statements as well as witnessing at site. Participate in toolbox talks relating to mechanical construction activities carried out by the contractors. Ensure that all materials used by the contractors are in accordance with the specifications. Work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the implementation of the Project QA/QC Plan. Implement the Company Quality Assurance Plans through the checking, witnessing and recording of the quality activities as described within the Plans. Ensure that all construction and pre-commissioning activities are suitably documented to provide a smooth handover to the Site Commissioning Team. Liaise with the other discipline Construction Supervisors on a continuous basis to ensure smooth execution of the construction activities. Report progress on the activities, versus the contractors programmes, and advise of any potential slippages to the MANAGEMENT. Liaise closely with Operations personnel, on a day-to-day basis, to ensure that they are kept fully informed of the contractors activities and that appropriate Operations input is obtained during the implementation of the work. Requirements: Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject. Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience as Mechanical Construction Supervisor of Oil/Gas field developments, with at least 2 years experience in a BIG STORAGE TANKS & PIPE FILED. The candidate is expected to provide mechanical supervision during the construction phase of the Project. The incumbent is expected to supervise the contractor(s) ensuring that the work is executed in line with the Contract, Company standards and procedures. The incumbent will also implement HSE and Quality standards.
