We are hiring HSE Officer for our plant based in Sharjah, UAE.The ideal candidate must have:- Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Technology or a Degree in Science along with 1 year Diploma / Certification course in Industrial Safety (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).- Minimum one year of hands on HSE supervision experience in construction industry preferably on site.- Must be fully aware of site health, safety, security and environmental requirements.- Must be able to fluently communicate in English, Hindi, Urdu and other native languages of the workers.Job Responsibilities:- Monitor advice and assist management for the effective implementation of companys Health and Safety Management System to create safe working environment and minimize loss.- Attend HSE meetings with site/Project managers to discuss HSE issues and report all health, safety, security and environmental issues to the HSE Manager.- Maintain a record for ?all chemicals/dangerous goods? used/stored at the premises, their Material Safety Data Sheets in order to advice on safe handling/transport and storage practices and prepare H&S reports and other documentations as and when required.- Conduct safety induction training for the new employees and visitors to familiarise with company?s safe system of work and identify HSE training needs for all employees and carry out HSE training.- Inspect the Company fire fighting system to ensure that the fire protection system is working.- Ensure First-Aid facilities and personal protective equipments are available in line with the nature of work.- Investigate incident/ accident along with the responsible team leader and recommend the preventive measure for avoiding re occurrence and ensure that work activities are only carried by competent and trained personnel by inspecting their training records and certification.- Conduct HSE Inspections on regular basis with Engineer/Supervisor & advice site/workplace management for necessary action, to comply with legal regulations.- Ascertain that precautionary measures are in place and cease any activity which is deemed dangerous and ensure that only tested and certified machinery is allowed to operate on site.- Cooperate with other departments to ensure the safe and smooth operations and liaise with sub-contractors? safety officers on site matters.- Perform other related jobs by time to time based on the reporting manager?s instructions.
