Job Description

Assist in reviewing the work program and submittals proposed by the contractorRead and understand the contents and details of the bill of quantities for each project as well as the preamble to the bill of quantities, and any other documents relating to payments to the contractorDiscuss and attempt to reach a mutual agreement with the contractor on rates for new work items that are not covered in the Bill of Quantities and submit rates to the Project Manager for reviewReview the specifications, Bill of Quantities and drawings and advise the Project Manager of any differences and/or discrepancies in Contract documents for methods of measurements,Review claims submitted by the Contractor and submit a report to the Project Manager for approvalReview quantities executed by contractors against drawings, measurement sheets and invoices for discrepancies and differencesMonitor contractors work on-site and in maintaining daily site diaryMonitor the contractors daily activities and resources allocation against the planDevelop periodic project progress reports in coordination with the Associate Project Manager and site teamsAssist in the preparation of monthly cost reports, as neededEnsure that As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty certificates are provided accurately by the contractorPrepare commissioning reports and snag lists during the Handover and Defects Liability Period REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications and Skills Required to Execute the Role:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related disciplineChartered or Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is desirableKnowledge of construction supervision services Understanding of international engineering standards and codesExcellent planning and organizational skillsGood financial planning and budgeting skillsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsGood time management skillsGood communication and presentation skillsProficiency in spoken and written EnglishExperience Required to Execute the Role:At least 15 years of experience (10+ years for Saudi Nationals) with demonstrated experience in multi-million dollar Buildings Projects in a contracting company or a construction supervision functionPrevious Saudi Aramco experience is preferredDemonstrated experience with FIDIC ClausesExperience within the Middle East
