Employment: Full Time Job Duration: Permanent Employment NTS Group are supporting a global pharmaceutical company in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Medical Director based in Jeddah. Reporting into the Regional Medical Lead, this position will provide medical leadership to the country & will be responsible for developing and executing the Medical Teams vision and strategy in alignment with the Commercial Lead. The Medical Director is the single point of accountability for medical in the country & works closely cross functionally to support the product portfolio.He/she will report to the Regional Medical Lead and be part of the Regional Medical LT. He/she will be responsible for managing high performing country Medical organization including the Medical Quality function & will ensure that country medical functions systems, processes & activities are fully aligned with local, regional and emerging markets business priorities, strategies and needs, as well as, in compliance with corporate policies, SOPs & guidelines.He/she also serves as the key country liaison with country/regional/HQ Commercial, Medical, GMPE, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Safety, Corporate Affairs and, Legal functions.-The Medical Director provides medical guidance and input to the regulatory, safety and commercial leadership teams in support of key product maintenance & defense activities.-He/she will develop strategic partnerships with key clinical and other stakeholders; developing strategies aligned to customer needs in order to maintain a therapeutic leadership position and drive business needs at the country level.-The lead will also focus on ensuring excellence with respect to medical quality and compliance as well as professional external relations. REQUIREMENTS: -More than 5 years in the medical affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry with broad expertise in medical & experience with regulatory and/or safety risk management issues.-Past Experience of working in Medical Affairs function-Understanding of the local health environment & knowledge of the relevant and applicable local and regional Codes of Practice, SOPs, regulations and guidelines o Knowledge of pharmacovigilance & regulatory legislation and how it impacts product portfolio-Proactive, pragmatic, flexible person with excellent leadership qualities, strategic thinking, communication & presentation skills-Fluency in English; Fluency in local language.-Ability to work successfully with cross-functional staff in a team setting-Analytic and organizational skills in managing, interpreting, and presenting clinical and marketing data, for regional assessment-Ability to communicate, develop, and manage collaborative relationships with external academic institutions, co-operative groups, and medical professionals-MD is a requirement; other advanced clinical degree a plus o Ability to travel through the region is a requirement.
