We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client an experienced MAINTENACE ENGINEER (COATING & WELDING) to join our client Mechanical Services Shops Department which has state-of-the-art workshops and facilities that are driven by most valuable asset, which is the department?s skilled and experienced workforce. Its primary responsibility is to maintain Organisations rotating and stationary equipment. The department plays a vital role in the company as it provides support to all field organizations by maintaining and repairing corporate equipment. Once qualified for the position you will be at the heart of one of the most advanced energy companies around the globe. The position is based Saudi Arabia on a long-term residential contract on married or single status.PurposePerforming hands on diagnoses and coatings for various parts of rotating equipment such as shafts, gears, pump and compressor impellers in addition to other stationery parts.Experience/Qualifications RequiredBachelor?s Degree in Welding EngineeringMinimum of 15 years? hands on experience in thermal coating and welding field.Must have the following the field experience requirements.Experience in thermal coating, laser cladding and weldingExperience on rotating equipment with original equipment manufacturing facility or equivalent certified repairing facilityCertification in welding from AWS or equivalentExcellent English reading and writingDuties & ResponsibilitiesProvide technical supports in coating and welding, testing and issue related technical reports.Provide technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.Troubleshoot, repair, modify existing equipment and Identify cost reductions & process improvements.Ability to prepare design engineering packages of rotating equipment.Preform technical investigation for shop repair return jobs to identify root cause of failure, corrective repair actions and lesson learned.Introduce the latest technology in coating and welding methodology.Develop and revise department?s technical procedures and standards.Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to junior engineers, quality inspectors and technicians.Provide technical input for purchasing specifications including technical proposal evaluation.Liaise with Department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other Departments and manufacturers.Liaise with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, and vendor & manufacture in developing, evaluation, and implementing shop repair work scopes.Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
