As a Host/Hostess with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable first impression for guests of our restaurants and lounges, making them feel welcome and valued.Hotel Overview: Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, is located only a few steps away from the Masjid Al Haraam and the Holy Kaaba. This 76-story hotel, one of the worlds tallest, is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait Complex, part of the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Project. The Hotel authentic hospitality is seen throughout 858 rooms.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging serviceUnderstand the Servers tasks in the outletUnderstand shift end reports in the outlet and the POS systemAssist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful wayHave knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Previous service experience an assetPrevious Point of Sale System experience an assetExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS: Candidate selection will be based on visa availability at Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel.
