They are urgently looking for a GIS Manager to join them in Saudi.Job Summary:Provide direction and management for implementation of GIS and database systems for projects.The GIS Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals & objectives.The GIS Manager will be based on site.Responsibilities:Acts as the company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the project assignment. Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project.Oversees establishment of GIS portion of BIM and GIS Information requirements.Reviews GIS execution plan, quality control plan and other documents from consultants and contractors.Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.Reviews and manages fundamental GIS data specific to a project, in the form of base maps, control point network and map referencing points.Establishes and manages on-line access to fundamental GIS data where applicable to the project.Provide technical support to a project client, and to propose advice and recommendations for procedures or data exchange of spatial information.Propose schedules for production of fundamental GIS data, and propose coordinating actions.Work with other managers, project engineers and discipline heads of the company to develop new business opportunities, budgets, schedules and plans for various elements to a projectMonitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity, including significant milestones, and any conditions that might affect the project cost or scheduleMonitor the clients staff resources for competence in GIS matters, providing training of key staff where applicable.Review a clients working methods in specific departments (eg Urban Development, Smart Cities) with respect to documenting, planning and implementing GIS data, proposing guidelines and standard to follow.Performs other responsibilities or duties associated with this position, as may be appropriate REQUIREMENTS: Specific skills required:Excellent working knowledge of industry practises/safety/quality management systems.Thorough knowledge of current technology must be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.High level of critical thinking skillsHigh level of numerical skillsHigh level of literacy skills in EnglishClear Verbal communication skillsHigh level of computer literacy.Familiarity with mapping, surveying and public services managementPerson Specification (Personality Attributes):Positive attitude;Willingness to develop others;Ability to manage pressure, changing client demands and meet deadlines;Accountability for assigned work;Personable;Team management skills;Passionate and enthusiastic about technology and its application in construction;Arabic speaking would be an advantage;Leadership abilitiesDisplays InitiativeAttention to detailCommitted to quality outcomesSound interpersonal & relationship building skillsTeam oriented3-5 years experience in a client-facing role;Minimum 15 years AEC industry experience;Middle East/UAE Project Delivery experience highly preferred;Bachelors Degree in GIS, or equivalent.Masters in relevant fields would be an advantage
