CONTRACTS MANAGEROur client has recently been awarded an estimated $392m contract to build the Head Quarter Offices for RCU in Al Ula. The 29-month contract involves the construction of a multipurpose complex consisting of three separate buildings of G+3+R floors, connected by external pedestrian walkway bridges and a 2-level common basement, in addition to external and landscape works.The complex comprises a total built-up area of about 116,711 square meters (sq m) consisting of the RCU headquarters building, Housing Offices, a Meeting and Event Center, a Fitness Center, a Helipad, and other Support Areas such as a Daycare facility, a Clinic, an RCU academy, Retail, and F&B.Experience/Qualifications RequiredBe degree qualified in engineering, quantity surveying, commercial management, law or other relevant fieldHave obtained chartered status, preferably with a relevant post graduate qualificationHave 20 years minimum experience in similar rolesHave previous experience on similar projectsBe contractually and commercially astuteBe able to lead a multinational team and demonstrate good teamwork skillsPreferably have experience of working in the Middle EastBe fluent in spoken and written English (preference will be given to native English speakers)ResponsibilitiesReport to the Project ManagerRepresent the company in a professional and diligent manner, developing a strong working relationship with the clientBe responsible for the overall management of others within the Contracts GroupAssist in formation of subcontracts including pre-contract activities, drafting agreements (with flow down conditions from the client contract), bidder commercial qualification, administration and evaluation of tenders, negotiations of terms and conditions and awardEnsure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.Review and develop project contracts strategies, processes and procedures and communicate to relevant personnelParticipate in kick off meetings with subcontractors and suppliersManage others in post award administration including reviewing and drafting correspondence; payment applications, payment certificates and invoices; bonds, insurance and warranties.Develop, implement and oversee the management of key performance indicators for Contracts Group personnel, subcontractors and suppliersOversee re-measurement and agreement of quantitiesParticipate in periodic audits of subcontractors and suppliersOversee the preparation of internal reports relating to subcontractors and suppliersManage others and participate in the commercial administration and management of contracts including change management; preparation, negotiation and defence of claims and other associated commercial issuesOversee and participate in close out of contracts and deal with claims to satisfactory conclusionsAttend meetings, interface and liaise with the client, subcontractors, other project departments and Management Office Athens (MOA)Monitor and ensure company compliance with contracts and agreementsManage others to ensure adequate project and contractual records are keptProvide contractual advice and training to company employees in contracting practices and proceduresContribute to risk management process and procedures
