This 76-story hotel, one of the worlds tallest, is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait Complex, part of the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Project. The Hotel authentic hospitality is seen throughout 1650 rooms.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceLead and manage the day to day activities of the Maintenance department and ensure all standards are followedOversee ongoing maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance in the Hotel with a focus to improve efficiency, profitability and service levelsCoordinate renovation and capital projects, managing outside contractors as requiredPrepare and manage the annual maintenance budget and assist in the preparation of the capital planEnsure the hotel complies with all government regulations pertaining to building code requirements, health, fire and life safety programsReview ongoing service contracts ensuring superior performance and competitive pricingMonitoring energy and water management programs to ensure cost effective use of utilitiesBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsFollow departmental policies and proceduresFollow all safety policiesOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Previous leadership experience as a Chief Engineer or similar requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredEngineering degree/diploma or related discipline preferredProven ability to handle multiple complex projects with a focus on resultsExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detailAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesVisa REQUIREMENTS:Candidate selection will be based on visa availability at Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel.
