Job Description

Purpose:To lead and direct the development of the Market Information Strategy that enables business growth, provides enhancements in information products & services offerings, support the development of other the businesss strategic initiatives within the companies standards and approved policies, and the Capital Market Authoritys (CMA) regulations.Key Accountabilities and Activities:Strategy and Planning:Develop the Divisions strategy in line with the Exchanges strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal incorporation with other interfacing divisional strategies across the enterpriseCreate appropriate strategies and solutions to ensure a diversified range of market information products and services that result in securing a competitive edgeElaborate on business development plans, design strategies, and implement processes to support business growth, through customer and market definitionHold ownership of the companys overall revenue of Market information and indicesSet the process of targets and goals, and validate the Divisions KPIsSupport the Exchanges business goals by ensuring adherence to the OPEX and CAPEX that are allocated in the budget for the DivisionDevelop and supervise key businesses and financial risk management and mitigation tactics within the DivisionLead and direct management change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes, and practices, taking into account international practice, standards, and changes in the business environment that demand proactive action plansLead, in partnership with the CEO, the development and presentation of Market Information Business Line.Market Information Development:Lead the development of client relationships to better serve the business development cycle, enhance and simplify the Departments daily workDesign Market Information business and marketing plans to achieve revenue goalsLead the Licensing of Market Information products & services to Local & International Data Vendors, Index Providers, Brokers, Asset Managers, and other Information Providers & ensure compliance with Exchanges Policies.Participate in related industrys forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the ExchangeCreate new business opportunities through consultation with internal and external stakeholders and benchmarking with global exchangesProducts and Services Development:Direct the development of products and service offerings to the needs of the prospective clients.Design strategies to retain the clients and incorporate their input into the growth planDevelop business proposals for new and existing customersMaintain a knowledge repository of clients, referrals, RFPs, prospects and presentationsDevelop strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective clientsCoordinate with product management team and facilitate perform product testingAdminister all user centric designs and ensure compliance to key deliverablesManage projects for product life cycle developmentPromote existing and future Market Information products and servicesStakeholders Relationship:Ensure that the concerned Departments are clearly informed about all different dimensions of the Trading products/servicesProvide direction and support to concerned Departments to ensure smooth daily operationsBuild and maintain relationships with key StakeholdersProject Management:Define the scope of projects and create a detailed work plan that identifies the activities needed to successfully complete projectsDetermine the resources required to complete projectsManage and control departmental projects to ensure project cycle completion and commitment to the Exchanges guidelines and qualityBudget:Participate in the Divisions annual budget planningEnsure effective utilization of the Departments allocated budget, and report accurately on progress and challengesGovernance and Resilience:Ensure that risk assessment procedures are carried out with all Trading products/services to identify and mitigate any potential riskDirect the development and implementation of the Departments policies, procedures, and processes covering all areas of the Departments activities to ensure the fulfillment of all work requirementsEnsure that the Department adheres to the Exchanges policies in order to achieve the Exchanges operational excellenceEnsure the Departments compliance with The Exchanges Code of Conduct to ensure operating within the acceptable risk rangePeople Management:Participate in identifying and recruiting key talents for the DepartmentManage, guide, and assist employees by direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and proceduresSet performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate team(s), and offer regular feedback on performanceProvide clear top-down communication to employees and down-top feedback to the Executive TeamProvide development opportunities to maximize employee potential and engagementPromote a high-performance working environment and uphold the Exchanges values REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications/REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge and Experience:14 to 16 years of experience in Capital Markets, Financial Services Sales and Marketing of financial products and market information with at least 10 years of experience in a senior or executive positionBusiness Operations ExperienceOrganization Development ExperienceExtensive knowledge in Developing and Implementing StrategiesAdvanced knowledge in Business PartnershipsEducation and Certifications:A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is requiredA Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) or equivalent is preferred
