Position: Budget Control EngineerJob Summary :Budget Control Manager shall be responsible for tracking and monitoring the changes in the projects that may lead to an increase in the project cost. He is supposed to review all project changes and report the significant changes that may lead to cost overruns. The purpose is to identify the significant changes at an early stage (before a Variation Claims ) so that they can be brought to the clients attention and minimize the impact of such change. He shall report directly to the General Manager.Responsibilities:?Monitor the changes in the Design and specification of the project?Communicate with the Design Consultant and obtain further information regarding proposed changes?Estimate the impact of the proposed changes?Report the details of the proposed changes in projects and their cost impact to the General Manager to enable him to discuss the matter with the ClientQualification :?The candidate should have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree and be familiar with Cost Estimation.?He should be familiar with Cost Estimation softwares such as Timberline , Candy , CostX etc.?He should have strong interpersonal and communication skills.?He should be well versed in Microsoft Office and should be able to prepare accurate reports to the Management.Experience:?He should have at least ten years of experience in the Tendering and Estimation of Large Construction projects such as Commercial / Mixed Use Development.?He should be able to communicate in English and Arabic.?Transferable Iqama
