SummaryFacilitates the licensing of technologies, negotiation, execution and maintenance of agreements involving technology transfers for Intellectual property (IP) protection.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Completes IP lifecycle management from the idea conception, protection, impact creation, commercialization and planned abandonment.2. Files the invention disclosures of the researchers by selecting and coordinating with attorneys to assist preparing and filing patent applications in accordance with IP strategy.3. Guides and works with the researchers on technology development and deployment initiatives with the technology transfer office.4. Actively marketing portfolio technologies for the purposes of securing licenses, options assignments of technology.5. Reviews invention disclosures for the purposes of developing IP strategy to evaluate technology for patentability and commercialization potential.6. Performs technical prior art searches, market research as well as ownership and other obligations.EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree in Engineering related field, Information Technology or other related discipline is required.Experience RequiredFive (5) years of related experience with Masters, or seven (7) years with Bachelors Degree required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Registered as Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) is preferred.
