Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Run MRP based on sales forecasts, generating purchase orders for raw materials in the ERP system.
  2. Receive updates on material deliveries and update the procurement plan accordingly.
  3. Monitor and prioritize purchase orders based on weekly and monthly production plans.
  4. Monitor stock levels, analyzing forecasted demand with the sales team to ensure safety stock and strategic inventory levels.
  5. Implement MRP concepts to forecast raw materials required for sales requirements.
  6. Prepare short-term and long-term procurement plans, considering inventory capacity and financial impacts.
  7. Facilitate collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review procurement plans, proposed orders, and operational issues.
  8. Set preferred stock levels to prevent excess inventory.
  9. Develop and monitor internal and external key performance indicators, including forecast accuracy and vendor scorecard metrics.
  10. Manage raw materials procurement activities by processing purchase requisitions and communicating RFQ to suppliers.
  11. Coordinate with planners to ensure completeness of required information in purchase requisitions.
  12. Review suppliers proposals, history, and relevant information to determine the supplier for awarded contracts.
  13. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of obligations.
  14. Negotiate prices with suppliers to keep costs within budget limits.
  15. Create purchase orders for raw materials through the ERP system.
  16. Keep track of purchase orders and invoices to ensure all payments are made.
Job Specification:
  • Required Educational Level:
  • Bachelors degree in business administration/supply chain.
  • Required Experience:
  • 5 years of work experience in raw Material planning & procurement.
