SummaryEssential Responsibilities and Duties2. Marks dimensions with chalk and cut out articles with scissors, assembles cut pieces and secures with pins or thread for sewing, and sews articles together, using sewing machine or by hand.3. Collects articles to be mended from storage rooms. Mends and hems , towels, equipment covers, bed and table linens, and clothing, using sewing machines, thermo_Qatch machine or by hand.4. Measures and alters gowns, uniforms, and other hospital apparel.5. Salvages unrepairable items when possible by making articles of a smaller .6.
