SummaryOrganizesand supervises daily activities of Radiation Therapy (RT) staff. AssistsQuality Improvement and Education Coordinator as needed. Assists Head, RT withadministrative functions and acts as Head, RT in his/her absence.Essential Responsibilities and Duties2. Supervises and instructs Therapist staff inall clinical areas of the department. Ensures the highest possible professionaland clinical standards. Liaises with Clinical Engineering to ensure thatoutstanding maintenance and projects are completed in a timely manner.3. Assists with the Performance Improvement (PI)process and implements procedures related to technical and other aspects of RT.Ensures that procedures and standards documented in the department IPPs arefollowed and met.4. Receives and completes projects andassignments. Obtains data related to projects and assignments, recommendsactions to be taken, and oversees implementation of required actions. AssistsHead in administrative duties and prepares personal transactions as needed.5. Assists the Quality Improvement andEducation Coordinator to determine the training needs of the staff, which includesbut not limited to supporting and implementing the Hospital and departmentSaudization Plan.6. Organizes Mould Room, Simulation, andTreatment appointment for patients. Being prepared to vary working hours as maybe necessary to meet the demands of the department. Assists in the maintenanceof accurate CPT statistics.7. Evaluates performance of subordinates andassists the Head of department with annual (re-contracting) appraisals.Counsels subordinates to improve performance. Recommends disciplinary actionsusing the appraisals competencies form to identify improvement goals for subordinatestaff.8. Follows all Hospital related policies andprocedures.9. Participates in self and others education,training and development, as applicable.10. Performs other relatedduties as assigned.EducationExperience RequiredFour (4) years of experience as a RadiationTherapist with Masters, or six (6) years with Bachelors Degree, including two(2) years in a supervisory capacity or two (2) years as a Senior RadiationTherapist at the Hospital is required.-Grade 11:Four (4) years of experience as Supervisor,Radiation Therapy at the KFSH&RCAverage of Annual Performance Appraisal of4.3 or higherCumulative ContinuedMedical Education (CME) hours of100 or higher.Other Requirements(Certificates). License and registrationas a Radiation Therapist is required.
