SummaryEssential Responsibilities and Duties2. Recommends and implements information systems to enhance the workflow and operation of the clinic.3. Evaluates performance of all Ophthalmology Services support staff counsels and motivates staff to improve performance recommends disciplinary action.4. Liaises with Personnel Department for all manpower related issues. Develops, modifies and implements job descriptions and performance evaluation forms for staff.5. Evaluates employment candidates and makes recommendations regarding hire.6. Prepares and maintains the section budget prepares and maintain periodic administrative report.7. Liaises with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve problems. 8. Serves as liaisons to physicians, and administrative staff to ensure optimal level of clinic services are maintained in the department.9. Maintains and ensures that standards of care and quality of services are provided in accordance with JCIA.10. Develops, administrates, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures of the hospital/department as well as the mission statement of the hospital/department.11. Oversees ophthalmic training programs and assist with setting program goals.12. Ensures that hospital safety procedures are implemented and practiced.13. Dedicates 20% of time to participate in clinical / technical duties.14. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, organizational skills, interpersonal and time management skills.15. Ability to interact with staff, professional, administrative and higher level management personnel.16. Possess knowledge of computer technology.17. Follows all hospital policies and procedures.18. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.19. Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree in Ophthalmology is required.Experience RequiredFour (4) years of related experience with Masters or six (6) years with Bachelors Degree including two (2) years in a supervisory/senior position is required..Grade 11:-Four (4) years as Supervisor, Ophthalmology at KFSH&RC.-Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. -One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].Other Requirements(Certificates).Certification from an accredited Ophthalmic/Nursing training program is preferred..Successful completion of an advanced course as ophthalmic assistant and certification of the advanced level is preferred..Bilingual skills [Arabic and English] in speaking and verbal communications are required
