Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONRole Overview:Data engineer is responsible for building, testing, automating and maintaining the data architecture of the company, act as an expert on technical matters and data sets available to the organization and the client. Data engineers also responsible for the management and ongoing development of the organizations data assets relating to its AI models, with direct responsibility of managing the flow of data, feature creation and model scoring.Key Responsibilities:Building data pipelines and ETLs using these platforms/technologies(Apache NiFi, Airflow, Impala SQL - Python, Spark)

• Designing, constructing, testing, automating, and maintaining architectures and processing workflows

• Building robust, efficient, and reliable data pipelines
• Integrating existing and new datasets into current inbound and outbound data pipelines
• Supporting the effective development and deployment of new products such as dashboards, live reports, and AI models
• Driving the collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources
• Managing, developing and documenting data and software quality controls for all data engineering activities, including data mapping across systems

• Ongoing development and documentation of data engineering methods and tools to transform data into suitable structures for analysis
• Managing a structured testing programme for data workflows and data engineering tools developed and deployed

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

• Minimum5+ experience in related field
• Experience in ETLs using these platforms/technologies(Apache NiFi, Airflow, Impala SQL - Python, Spark)
• Bachelor of computer science filed and professional data engineering qualification.
