Job Description

SummaryResponsible for planning, design and development. Coordination of design projects from programming phase through completion of bidding documents. Provides on-site construction supervision.Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Communicates with Hospitals Departments at various levels to discussant identify needs and requirements.
  2. Prepares functional and spatial programs for Hospital renovation and new construction projects.
  3. Prepares schematic, colored presentation, preliminary and working drawings using computer software.
  4. Edits master specifications into a project specific set of specifications.
  5. Coordinates design work with all other engineering disciplines and concerned Hospitals Departments as needed.
  6. Contributes to the engineering/architecture design studies for the Hospital upgrade and facility master Lannin.
  7. Prepares project request evaluation, technical reports and cost estimates.
  8. Prepares technical specifications for Bill of Quantities and review biddocuments.
  9. Supervises on-site construction for compliance with the contractstechnical specifications.
  10. Reviews, recommends modifications and approval of contractorssubmittals, shop drawings, samples and substitutions.
  11. Performs progress monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
  12. Prepares periodic project status update reports.
EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree inArchitect or other related discipline is required.Experience RequiredFive (5) years of related experience with Masters or seven (7) yearswith Bachelors Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Knowledgeable in Us codes and standards including NFPA,ASME, UL and ASHRAE. Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/orMicrosoft Projects and engineering calculation software. Proven record in thedesign, specifications and construction of mechanical systems for new andexisting buildings in a large health care facility setting.Fluent in oral and written English.Non-Saudi Engineers must obtain minimum offive (5) years of related experience.Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
