SummaryResponsible for gathering functional and technical requirements for applications, supporting the configuration, testing, and release of applications, and for providing ongoing support for applications. Ensures that the application-based solutions of their department satisfy the needs of the business as a whole, and of individual clients.Essential Responsibilities and Duties2.Supports vendors with solution configurations based on requirements and designs for the packages and applications related to their section.3.Creates test transactions and run tests to find errors and to confirm programs meet specifications. 4.Supports the Applications Specialist and vendors with performing unit, functional, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure that solutions meet requirements and IT standards.5.Works closely with the Informatics Systems Operations, Technical Support, and End-User Training Departments to draft procedural manuals and training material.6.Advises and participate in the training of trainers in his/her area of expertise.7.Supports the Applications Specialist by providing Level 3 maintenance and support for events escalated by the Informatics Systems Operations, Technical Support, or End-User Training Departments. 8.Provides problem management support as part of the problem management process.9.Maintains applications by fixing bugs and implementing updates.10.Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.11.Participates in self & others education, training and development, as applicable.12.Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.13.Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationMasters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related discipline is required.Experience RequiredOther Requirements(Certificates)N/A
