Quantity Surveyor Project Manager | Residential Civil Construction | Saudi Arabia The CompanyA construction company provides general contracting services for building construction, renovations, and infrastructure. It has diversified its project portfolio, spanning various sectors such as industrial, distribution, manufacturing, office, retail, recreational, healthcare, and commercial across the kingdom. Furthermore, it has recently joined a larger engineering services group, prioritizing value-added construction services, and has successfully completed over SR 3 billion worth of construction across 60 projects, emphasizing strong customer relationships and outstanding performance.Work Location: Dammam (Sites), Saudi ArabiaKey Accountabilities

  • Supervise and lead a surveying team by providing guidance, assigning tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement surveying plans, determining the scope, objectives, and methods for accurate data collection.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes for consistent and accurate data collection.
  • Utilize appropriate surveying techniques, such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanning.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to integrate survey data into construction processes.
  • Manage survey budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Enforce safety protocols during fieldwork to ensure the well-being of surveying teams and site personnel.
  • Prepare and present survey reports, maps, and data visualizations for client review and project documentation.
  • Lead quantity surveyors in tender and post-contract functions, including cost estimating, cost planning, cost monitoring, and controlling.
  • Oversee cost planning and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle from inception to post-completion.
  • Conduct tender analysis and agree on contract sums.
  • Manage commercial aspects and contract administration, including preparing bills of quantities and drafting contract conditions.
  • Negotiate contracts effectively and assess contractor claims, providing advice on contractual disputes.
  • Undertake cost analysis for construction works and advise on risk management and calculations.
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Survey Engineering or Civil/Architecture Engineering.
  • Experience in real estate and construction, with more than 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in landscape surveying and large construction projects is a must.
  • Strong understanding of modern survey instrumentation, including total stations, GPS, and data modeling.
  • Experience with survey CAD packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Auto-CAD, Primavera, Navis, and Revit software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
  • Very good command of English.
