SummaryEssential Responsibilities and Duties2. Responsible for the coordination of Tele-genetics program of the Department of Medical Genetics.3. Coordinates the needs of the existing and future clinical programs (Lysosomal Storage Disease program, Skeletal Dysplasia program, Prevention Genetics program) of the department of medical genetics.4. Coordinates the Care of patients requiring frequent treatments visits to the Hospital like Enzyme Replacement Therapy.5. Assists in coordinating patients booking for procedures done or requested by Medical Genetics Staff such as skin biopsy and muscle Biopsy.6. Coordinates and communicates with extended family members for laboratory genetic testing, tracing samples, results and troubleshooting with loss of specimens and need for re-sampling.7. Maintaining and updating Genetic Prevention Data Base and Genetic Tests database.8. Maintains records and data collection in area of responsibility. Develops written statistical and graphical reports indicating development and advancement towards program goals and objectives.9. Performs continuous evaluation of the flow process of the department outpatient population and develops plan to improve it.10. Liaises with internal and external organizations in the exchange of information, benchmarking and in the coordination of activities related to best practice in clinical specialty.11. Keeps abreast with all the latest techniques and developments, especially in area of specialization, following and implementing them on a selective basis to improve technical standards.12. Coordinates and participates in routine patient care review meetings and case discussion conferences performed by the Medical Genetics physicians with related multi-disciplinary medical services as required.13. Undertakes the administrative duties assigned by Chairman of the department.14. Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the hospital.15. Abides by the current hospital and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations and policies and keeps updated of any changes that might occur.EducationExperience RequiredOther Requirements(Certificates)Current Registered Nurse Licensure.
