As theManager Airfreight (AFR) Operationsreporting to the Head of Air Freight for DHL you will be the one responsible for Air Freight Operations management and development, including systems, processes, and training to ensure high performance in terms of productivity, quality, effectiveness, efficiency and Customer satisfaction under a compliant work environment.We need your expertise go give all business plans their wings. • As the leader you will be responsible of all Operations: End to End Process compliance (from incoming Customers booking to file closing).
• You will drive global and regional programs or initiatives for optimal usage of our systems, apps and processes based on set targets (e.g., BPS, T&M, Forwarding 3.0, FRP, FSI, DHL, Etc.).
• Use your expertise to the optimization of the GSC offshoring & management while providing on time and accurate Customer visibility of operational milestones based on set targets (e.g., Completeness and timeliness of Super timestamps, Mandatory milestones, etc.)
• Ensure, manage and support optimal operational accounting KPIs based on set targets, all internal and external audit related activities, e.g.: ISO audits, internal focus topic audits, etc., identify requirements, and participate in discussions and meetings.
• Your management expertise will allow you to manage, develop, lead, and maintain the regional and country operations teams together with the CT AFR Heads.
• Create an engagement and knowledgeable team of AFR Process Experts and guarantee that AFR ops community is well informed and trained on latest systems/process updates, thru correct communication channels, motivate your team and constantly ensure to improve skills, knowledge and solutions to the operations team at country level.
• You will be accountable to maintain strong bonds with the business stakeholders, while keeping an eye on countries operations, ensuring that you and your team provide a consistently high level of service to our customers.
• Being the decision maker, you will also be responsible to take corrective actions in case of deviation while Supporting sales, business Development and account Management on RFQ, BID and EDI implementation.
• Take sponsorship for selected large Customers and preferred Carriers for operational matters.
• Develop, implement, and execute operations regional strategy to support our global freight strategy.
• Implement and develop new solutions for AFR (e.g., new Customers implementations).
• Undertakes and supports projects & programs on an ad-hoc basis, e.g., country specific improvements.

Your skills and Experiences

• Exceptional Air freight product knowledge.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Expertise in continuous process improvement (6 sigma), problem solving and change management methodologies.
• Strong leadership, conflict management, coaching, people development and team player.
• Negotiation, mitigation and arbitration skills.
• Financial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
• Relevant experience in sales, business development and logistics.
• Cross-cultural competence.
• Result oriented.

Your Qualifications

• BS/BA in Business Administration or equivalent on- and off- the-job training and relevant education.
• 8+ years of experience in the logistics industry, with specific Knowledge of Air and Air forwarding principles.
• Air cargo consolidation & gateway experience is added advantage.
• Proven track record of effectively interacting and advising senior management.
• First Choice Champion Certified, or equivalent Six Sigma external certification.
• Ability to read and interpret financial information (e.g., P&L).
• Solid understanding of applicable regulations, safety protocols, process flow tolerances and Six Sigma or related process-improvement skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
