Job Description

It may be helpful to complete this section after you have finished the other sections of the document.Description: TheLaunch Excellence Lead (LXL) willlead early stages of asset strategic planningacross all BUs and provide a single point of contact for pipeline strategic planning and optimisationfor the Saudi Arabia business.The LXL will work with cross-functional teams (XFT) in advance of progressionto Phase 3clinical trials and lead the relevant XFTs to assess, prioritise and plan for each pipeline assetto maximise launch success to generate optimal patient access andcommercialreturn on investment.The LXL will play a critical role in ensuring local gaps and issues are identified early, develop a thorough understanding of customer needs, and advocate and influence global asset teams and local stakeholders to implement initiatives to maximise launch potential. The LXL will be firmly focused in early stage pipeline management and provide guidance on key launch milestones - including handover point to the relevant brand manager in advance of market launch. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES In order of importance, indicate the primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role.   • Facilitates and integrates cross-functional efforts leading to successful breakthrough launches (25 in 25). Builds market expertise in launch planning and execution.
  • Leads early stages of new assets strategic planning, as early as 3 years prior to launch. Is responsible for initial assessment and recommendation for Pfizer assets/BD in the pipeline.
  • Partners with Country LT to prioritize launches across categories at the country/cluster level and coordinates resource allocation to support launch planning.
  • Works in alignment withcorresponding BU teams, to accelerate the time to launch and access readiness of new assets coming to market.
  • Incorporates new product planning into overall BU Cx experience plans, especially if there is a TA portfolio.
  • Encourages utilization of global tools and resources by the local teams, to ensure consistent standards for launch preparation across BUs.
  • Provides a forum for Launch Excellence best practice sharing across BUs, driving additional efficiencies and optimization of existing solutions.
  • Serves as a conduit to the global launch teams (in EM: CELN & CD/BILs), translating strategies into local market shaping / market development initiatives.
  • Collaborates with medical/O&E/market access/CA in the design of early engagement plans (KOLs, HCPs, PAGs, payers, patients), identification of local data generation needs and full understanding of the patient pathways to optimize and accelerate access.
  • Leads new products launch readiness planning and coordinates the cross-functional Teams (regulatory, IP legal, supply, marketing, access, public affairs, medical, etc.) to ensure on-time execution and accelerate the priority assets into market.
  • Ensures an adequate process for planning and handover, for the respective BU teams to take over once formal commercialization is approved.
Drive Launch Excellence
  • Provide key commercial insights into all XFT workstreams (value proposition and critical success factor development, launch strategy, timings, etc)ensuring customer needs are central in all decisions/initiatives.
  • Form and lead thebrand specificXFT (regulatory, access, medical, supply, pricing)until handover to the relevant brand manager.
  • Ensure launch platform is fully developed and optimised for success
  • Active member of Global Launch Navigation group and across best practice and expert resources (digital, customer experience)
Provide leadership to local brand team
  • Handover to relevant BU lead and brand manageronce a meaningful local market investment is required
  • Work with patient ambassador and local brand team on HCP engagement, consumer engagement, education
  • Embed a customer curious mindset in the local brand team to ensure patients and clinician needs are at the centre of all launch initiatives.
Job Specific Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:
  • Thorough knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and Healthcare environment
  • Ability to develop strategic direction for the product and the market
  • Ability to develop creative solutions for the implementation of market plans
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in influencing a broad range of stakeholders through credible, clear and logical communication
  • Commercially astute with strong business acumen
  • Strong problem solving and process management skills
  • Computer literate including manipulating Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, Electronic Customer Management Systems
  • Change Leadership - Risk taking / Judgement / Innovation
  • Negotiation skills - internal and external
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors degree in healthcare Science (or equivalent). Business Management degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years Brand, key Account or Sales Management experience.
  • Strong cross functional leadership and strategic planning
  • New launches track record
