Job Description

The opportunity Project: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting-upcost controlsystems.
  • Advisingonprocurement strategy.
  • Reviewing and commenting ontenderdocuments, bills of quantities, unit rates, cost estimates and participate intenderevaluation.
  • Preparing timely estimates forconstructioncontract packages.
  • Preparingtenderdocumentations.
  • Performingprocurementandtenderingtasks.
  • Preparing supportingdocumentationformonthly reportingto facilitate clients inassessingprojectfinancialstanding.
  • Conducting regular site visits to check and record materials delivered to site, works progress achieved, change orders executed and etc.
  • Reviewing the contractors paymentapplicationsand supplier monthly invoices and participate in the timely preparation of monthly payment requisition.
  • Keeping the head informed as to any changes made in the field throughcoordinationwith engineers and supervisors.
  • Conducting change order meetings to progressively settle change orders with the contractors.
  • Ensuringevaluationof change orders be determined in accordance with contract conditions.
  • Assisting in settling contractual disputes andevaluatingclaims and extensions of time.
  • Finalising the project account.
  • Attending and chairing meetings/workshopsas required.
  • Performing any other project related duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the agreement.
About you You have relevant degree qualifications and be a member of a professional body. You have experience in commercial roles on major projects/programmes and sports experience is preferred. You have experience leading and managing team of commercial managers and/or cost consultants is essential. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and support strong, motivated teams. About you You have a degree qualification in IT or engineering (or related field) and proven years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of discipline leads and technical support personnel. Professional registration with active professional membership, MBA or related MSc degree is an advantage. Requires extensive knowledge of IT best practices, processes, and current technology trends. Working knowledge of ITIL and ISO quality management systems standards. Proficiency in analysing situations in business terms, i.e., ROI, cost per unit, etc. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated, extended teams. You will have a construction or project management consultancy background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
