Develops new methods and technologies when necessary for project advancement.3. Participates in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations.4. Searches for funding opportunities and writes grant applications.5. Teaches research techniques to others trains and oversees technicians, students and/or fellows. 6. Engages in appropriate training and professional development opportunities as required in order to enhance professional skills and research independence needed for pursuit of a career.7. Assists in overseeing the laboratory including maintaining the supplies, equipment and ordering of necessary materials.8. Follows all laboratory safety rules and regulations.9. Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.10. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.11. Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationExperience RequiredOther Requirements(Certificates)- Role as a co-investigator in at least two (2) fully ongoing research projects.- Proven records of presenting original data at least once in a national or international meeting. - Evidence of mentoring ability and supervisory skills to students and technical staff.
