Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES•Purchase spare parts & components for the plant from the local market, in line with the approved cost & quality.•Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.•Maintain and update a list of suppliers with their products, costs and brands.•Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.•Negotiate prices with suppliers to make business savings.•Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is maintained with all suppliers.•Ensure quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.•Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.•Responsible for the scheduling, preparation, processing of purchase orders/ documents and the issue of order in accordance with company policies and procedures.•Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management•Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS•Must have a valid Kuwaiti Driving License•Technical Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Any discipline•8-10 Years of previous experience with solid knowledge and understanding of local market suppliers.•Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.•High level of ethics, integrity and honesty dealing with suppliers.•Must have experience using MS Office and experience with an ERP system.•Work independently and are comfortable making decision.•Thrive in a collaborative work environment.COMPETENCIES•Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with suppliers.•Good negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.•Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.•Commercially and financially aware.•Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
