Title: Housekeeping Floor SupervisorDepartment: Housekeeping and LaundryHierarchy: Reporting to Executive Housekeeper & Asst. Executive HousekeeperDirect Subordinates: Floor Attendants Indirect Subordinates: N/ALevel: 3Scope:

• Ensures proper cleaning of all guestrooms, corridors, service areas, elevators and linen closets. Supervises housekeeping employees and makes sure that they perform their specific tasks, dressed properly and behave in a positive manner.

Responsibilities and Obligations:

• Reads & signs the PM., night shifts log book and take any comments needs to be followed up.
• Picks up & sign for the Master Key.
• Checks system room status.
• Checks his room assignment sheet and checks the Out of Order or Out of Service rooms on the PMS.
• Checks for dirty vacant rooms and arrivals expected.
• Briefs the room attendants on his floor. (previous comments, VIPs, Arrivals, In house and update of daily information)
• Checks room attendant?s carts and ensures that every room attendant has enough materials for his or her work
• Checks room attendants? stores and organizes replacement stock accordingly
• Organizes and checks VIP Arrivals ? cleanliness and maintenance.
• Checks mini bars for the check out rooms.
• Checks vacant, occupied and check out rooms ? and the mini bar stock.
• Reports and follows up any maintenance needed in the rooms.
• Answers and communicates with guest service and handles any guest requests.
• Handles any L&F. according to P&P.
• Supervises the room attendants, providing corrective actions and training when needed.
• Ensures the public area of his/her floor clean.
• Reviews room status on PMS.
• Completes handover report for the after noon shift.
• Informs personnel and supervisors about important events and news from within the hotel operation to avoid misunderstandings and rumours/gossip.
• He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Checks baby cots and extra bed status.
• Takes responsibility for all housekeeping equipment.
• Communicates all the incidents and accidents occurring on his/her duty time to executive housekeeper.

Security, Safety and Health

• Maintains high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy.
• Keeps all staircases and walk ways free of obstacles at all times.
• Reports any suspicious behaviour of guests and staff to the General Manager and Security.
• Notifies housekeeper regarding lost and found objects.
• Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately immediately.
• Fully understands the hotel?s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
• Follows emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees.
• Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
• Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and notifies the Manager.
• Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct.

Competencies:

• Good command of English and one other language used by majority of staff.
• Five years? experience in 5 Star Hotels.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Fidelio or other PMS.

Interrelations: Liaises with all departments to ensure smooth operation and develops effective relationships with guests, business partners.
