Roles & ResponsibilitiesReview architectural, interior, BOQ, specifications, and scope-of-work documents.Prepare accurate quantities for ceilings, partitions, flooring, joinery, and finishes.Prepare detailed BOQs and project cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate commercial quotations from joinery, glass, flooring, MEP, and other subcontractors.Attend job explanation, site inspection, and post-tender clarification meetings.Prepare and evaluate variation orders, revised BOQs, and variation scopes.Identify and propose Value Engineering (VE) options to optimize project cost.Conduct site measurements and inspections when required.Update bills of materials and BOQs based on approved design/client changes.Support project handover from the estimation team to the site team after award.Maintain strong commercial and contractual awareness and provide effective reporting and negotiation support.Desired Candidate ProfileMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimation for Interior, Joinery, or Fit-Out projects.BE/B.Arch/Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related qualification is essentialStrong knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, particularly Excel.Good understanding of project documentation and contract conditions.Practical knowledge of Value Engineering and cost optimisation.Experience with estimation/costing software such as Candy is an advantage.Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.Professional certification in Quantity Surveying is an added advantage.Good understanding of P&L and project cash flow is desirable.Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
