Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Manager should be experienced in civil construction works as well as largescale interior fit-out projects. The site-based role will be to manage all day-to-day site activities, to coordinate and supervise an internal team of site supervisors and engineers as well as sub-contractors and key suppliers.Reporting directly to the Senior Management, the CM will be empowered to organize the distribution of all manpower and materials, hire resources and specialist equipment in order to meet the program and progress requirements, whilst keeping an eye on the project budgets, maintain the overall quality of works and ensure that the health & safety policy is being implemented and followed at all times.The CM will be directly involved in the planning of the works and take responsibility for meeting the targets and deadlines of the project and he will clearly communicate the evolving scope of works to the entire site team and subcontract trades.Role DescriptionTo provide unambiguous direction and leadership on site to all trades.To plan, coordinate, monitor and manage the daily activities, including, but not limited to, logistics, material supplies, resource planning, sequencing of all the works, testing and inspections, housekeeping, waste management and health & safety.To be the primary point of contact at site for all subcontractors and Client vendors as well as the Landlord and/or Client?s representative.To ensure that the Mall / Landlord?s rules and regulations are complied with at all times.To coordinate with the commercial team to ensure variations, project changes and contra charges are captured.To analyse the BOQ and IFC drawings to make sure the scope of work is clearly defined and to identify if there are any scope gaps.To make sure that the materials being used on site are following the specification and approved submissions.To proactively identify potential clashes of works and trades, to resolve any conflicts and provide solutions on site or if unable to do so, then raise RFIs or immediately bring the issue to the Project Manager?s attention.To ensure the quality inspections are being executed correctly and any rectifications are handled swiftly and effectively.To ensure that the health and safety procedures are being followed at all times and that the welfare of the workers and working conditions are being considered and maintained.To attend and, as required, lead the site progress meetings with various stakeholders, including the Client, the various Consultants, and the Client's representatives.To provide input to the regular Management Reports as required.To control the entire testing and commissioning stages as well as de-snagging and final close-out and handover of the project.Desired Candidate ProfileDegree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.10+ years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in interiors, with at least 3?5 years in a similar role.Extensive knowledge of site operations with experience managing projects of varying sizes and commercial values.Successful track record in projects such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Healthcare, Education, etc.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good people management and time management skills.Excellent communication skills.
