Job Description

The team you?ll be part ofOur Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks such as Open RAN (O-RAN) and virtual RAN (vRAN).Our team is part of the 5G R&D department in Timisoara which includes several softwaretesting activities.We are part of the 5G Cloud project which is the next step of the 5G classical in Telecom industry. The main goal of the 5G cloud project is to virtualize the Software& Hardwarecomponents of the classical 5G Base Transciever Station (BTS) and execute them on servers.Mobile Networks Radio Acces Network (RAN)

  • Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology).
  • Your unit?s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.
What is EIT (Entity Integration Testing)?The goal of entity test team is:
  • to catch defects in currently implemented functionalities after introducing changes in the code (regression) and during integration of new OAM features,
  • ensure that features are working in accordance with specification on acceptable level of quality defined by acceptance criteria.
  • Tests are performed using real HW (5G BTSs and servers for cloud).
  • Performed tests are both manual (first run) and automated (regression campaign). Robot framework is used for automation of the test cases.
Entity Test Way of Working includes ET Workflow with ET phases:
  • Integration: testing on SW knives to ensure fast SW defects detection on new features,
  • Entity testing phase: creating Test plans and execute Test campaigns for validation of new functionalities
  • Regression testing: run manual & automated test campaigns to make sure the new code is clean, and no regressions are introduced
  • Additionally Robustness/ Exploratory / Bug hunting sessions are organised to have more testing coverage for rainy days scenarios
Your skills and experience- good experience in SW testing (preferable Telecom domain) of at least 1-3 years- good knowledge of 4G/5G technologies- testing experience that involves real HW configuration/commissioning- scripting and automation experience (knowing Robot framework is a plus)On top of qualifications, we are looking forPassion!We hire engaged engineers who have a passion and positive attitude for making things WORK.Willingness to contribute with creative, out-of-the-box solutions, to problems arising in a dynamic environment, under high market pressureAbility to juggle with multiple tasks and prioritize themTeam spirit and positive attitude, engagement, and desire to take over challenging assignments as part of a team.Additional Information
