  • Jointly supervise and train the Snow Penguin training team and Penguins in the snow park. Ensures the efficiency of daily operations, maintenance and safety in the Penguinarium, Encounter and March areas. Ensure highest customer service at all times.
Job Details ? Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Operate daily training of penguins regarding daily march, feeding and photo sessions with the public
  • Evident knowledge of effective training techniques, applications, and tools
  • Assist in penguin husbandry and cleaning
  • Maintain daily training records
  • Interact with the public with ease and have good communication skills
  • All aspects of maintaining an animal population
  • Daily staff supervision and team dynamics
  • Liaise with head trainer for the development plan of the team.
  • Liaise and communicate all the information required between departments and facilities
  • Working with water/air quality analytical equipment
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
  • Carry materials, transport boxes, buckets, etc. throughout the facility
  • Standing, walking for long periods in a cold environment
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum experience
  • Minimum 3 years of training experience, preferably with marine mammals
Minimum Qualifications/education
  • Bachelor?s degree in Biology or Zoology or related field or equivalent experience
