Purpose of the Job:Responsible for perform Rotating Equipment Engineering activities and deliverables for a specific project and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.Can be assigned as a Rotating Equipment Lead for small ProjectPosition description - Special Challenges:Maintaining a good relationship with the client is critical to the success of the (design) project and often requires visit to the site and/or client office.Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.Demonstrate repeatability and constant improvement in projects across a broad range of geographic, technical and cultural differences.Develop / share best practices, work processes, system and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent projects.Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.Assuring that work and project promises successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.Establish/adopt new technology REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Qualifications Needed:Degree in Mechanical or Rotating Equipment Engineering from an Accredited University.Minimum 4 years in FEED/ENGINEERING and Minimum 10 years in oil & gas Experience.Experienced in the Select, Define and Execution stages of projectsGood communication skills.Position description (Roles & Accountabilities):Execute Rotating Equipment deliverables, activities, and other technical work for FEED within designated Cost Time Resource (CTR) scopes.Implement, practice and Monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 requirementsEnsure own discipline engineering and design work successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted.Carry out appropriate discipline, inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering, and design work.Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methods.Capture/apply internal and external learning, including HSE improvements.Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry.Ensure the quality of technical work and the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.Ensure subordinate Discipline Engineers time write correctly to the Project(s) each week.Participate in value Engineering , Design Reviews, HAZOPs, IPF Classifications, 3D Model review, Plot plan, etc. for the assigned projectsKey Competences required:Summary Behavioral:Displays Personal Effectiveness:Building Relationships KnowledgeDisplays Personal Effectiveness SkillDelivers Results SkillAnalyze and Solve problems SkillCommunicates and persuades SkillManage Knowledge and information KnowledgeSummary Functional:Principles of RE and supporting systems design, standards and regulationsSkill:Principles of Rotordynamics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and aerodynamicsKnowledge:Principles of RE maintenance & equipment operation characteristics and constraints KnowledgeEquipment selection, specification, operating and maintenance philosophy SkillStudy definition SkillEvaluate and select the optimum approach to lay-out and equipment packagingSkill:Develop and support new equipment technologies and identify applications SkillIdentify, optimize and determine the applicable standards SkillEquipment, ancillaries, transmission and monitoring design and specification KnowledgeEquipment Control, Shut down and safeguarding specifications KnowledgeRotating equipment Reliability and Availability engineering KnowledgeConstruction and Installation support for equipment systems KnowledgeRE Testing FAT and SAT SkillRE commissioning and start up support KnowledgeRE Maintenance strategy and contracts support SkillEquipment operation procedures, performance standards KnowledgeCondition monitoring and troubleshooting KnowledgeAdditional comments:Fluent in English, written and spoken
