Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently looking for Senior Construction Engineer - Instrumentation for the Duqm Refinery Project.OverviewThe Senior Construction Engineer - Instrumentation shall report to the Construction Manager and have overall responsible for a particular area of the worksite, although from time to time he shall assist in other areas of work when required. The Senior Construction Engineer ? Instrumentation may stand-in for the Area Construction Superintendent when they are absent from site. He will ensure the that duties on specific areas/units, are aligned both internally within IPMT and externally with the Contractor to progress and support site activities. The Senior Construction Engineer - Instrumentation shall routinely interface with the Contractor?s Construction Staff.Responsibilities

• Understands application of the current project methodologies and EPC Contractor execution strategies
• Demonstrate compliance with the Project safety standards, site rules and regulations as captured in the PMC and EPC Contractor?s HSSE plans
• Monitor and enforce the adherence to the site standards, rules and regulations
• Ensuring overall construction is executed in accordance within applicable specifications, drawings, codes and standards and to the requirements of the Contract
• Participating in project meetings as required
• Understand and responsible for managing the site safety rules for the defined plant area and responsible for the EPC Contractor scope to be executed including all the interfaces and safety requirements
• Technically review construction documentation issued by EPC Contractor
• Monitor the Contractor work scope is managed, controlled and risk assessed by the Contractors Permit to work
• Participate in site safety audits regarding work execution, permits, work site standards and workforce knowledge of the work as required
• Ensure accurate progress reporting of physical scope completion
• Carry out inspection, surveillance witnessing of contractor activities, ensuring records are maintained, including as-built data
• Report any EPC Contractor / sub-contractor non-conforming or non-compliant activities to the PMC Construction Manager
• Participate in weekly site walkdowns up to and including System Mechanical Completions, identifying and ensuring items are raised and closed
• Assist IPMT Commissioning team as require.

Skills / Qualifications

• Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline.
• 12 years? experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
• Experience in PMT/PMC companies preferably downstream projects
• Must have handled ICS, DCS, ESD, FGS and other systems in terms of planning and implementation of installation, testing & commissioning on oil and gas projects.
• Must have experience in field installation of instruments and analysers
• Must have experience in installation of cable and tubing systems across field installations, local control stations and central control rooms.
• Must have experience in resolution of technical queries and providing clarifications
• Strong supervisory skills
• Fluent English skills
