Employment: Full Time A large leading energy business based in Muscat is currently looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to come and join their team on an exciting new venture.Job ProfileHe/she will support the Head of division in pursuing M&A and growth initiatives in the prioritized geographies, which includes conducting assessment of potential targets, coordinating due diligence efforts, and setting up International subsidiaries.Key ResponsibilitiesM&A Strategy definition* Collaborate with Retail Strategic Planning to identify target countries* Scout prioritized markets to identify feasible M&A targets* Identify potential segments of the value chain to support the market entry (e.g., lubes, aviation, supply, trading, chemicals, )* Conduct feasibility and due diligence studies related to strategic options, M&A activities, decisions, and new opportunities as well as ensure risk potential and business rationale are considered.* Define target market, customers, positioning and operative details of market entries* Prepare communication to leadership on the most suitable/viable investment initiatives for the business to achieve the defined strategic targets* Develop and retain M&A knowledge and expertiseM&A Execution and subsidiary set-up* Work closely with Global Network Management and advise on network planning initiatives, management, and optimization of successfully acquired sites, to ensure the achievements of M&As objectives and vision* Support the set-up of international subsidiary and definition of interfaces with the entire organization* Ensure successful integration of subsidiary with the Retail teamKey interactions* Corporate functions: Finance and Strategy (M&A, Legal), Supply and Trading, Market Intelligence, People and Culture, Project & Technology* External: External consultants, Investment Bankers, Legal advisors, Vendors & Suppliers REQUIREMENTS: Education requirements* Bachelors degree in Finance subjects or in related fields* Masters degree is preferableLanguage* English: Advanced* Command of other languages is preferable Background and experience Competencies and skillsKey requirements* 5-8 years of experience in the field with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role* Previous experience in M&A is preferred* Behavioural: Achievement orientation, analytical thinking, team leadership, conceptual thinking, teamwork and collaboration, relationship building, appetite for risk* Managerial: Strategic planning, project management, people management, decision making, risk management* Personal: Communication skills, time management* Functional: Strategic partnerships, business acumen, customer experience, M&A process managementSalary & Benefits* 6500 OMR* Annual Flights* Private medical insurance* Annual Bonus
