Job Description

The Organization:

  • Our client is the leading Facility Management provider in the Sultanate of Oman.? Over the past four decades they have earned an outstanding reputation with operations across the Sultanate, managing a broad range of facilities, including some of the Sultanate?s most prestigious buildings and technically-complex facilities. They have recently been awarded a project for construction and looking to expand the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • With urgency, our client is hiring an experienced QA/QC Engineer, already in Oman with NOC.
Main tasks:
  • The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions, and Control and the distribution of all the companies? quality documentation;
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project, and perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company?s management;
  • Verify vendor/sub-contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals;
  • Attend client project kick off meeting and pre inspection meetings before start of the fabrication;
  • The preparation and control of project quality management system documentation prior to project commencement;
  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements;
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system; Recommend and implement improvements when required;
  • The compilation of vendor inspection assignments packages;
  • The coordination and resolution of any nonconforming product reviewing vendors QA/QC systems in accordance with contractual requirements;
  • Coordination of vendor quality approvals when required;
  • Ensure the verification of documentation and certificates for materials purchased by vendors;
  • Review of suppler quality plans against contract requirements;
  • Review procurement documents to ensure that quality requirement have been correctly translated into purchase requisitions and design documents;
  • Review supplier inspection procedures and personnel qualifications;
  • Review supplier material certificates;
  • Coordinate with the company?s discipline engineers for the resolution of technical discrepancies;
  • Coordinate with management for quality improvements;
Look After:
  • Activities including receiving inspection, fabrication, welding and dimensional inspection;
  • Proper consumable usage & storage of Welding Electrodes and inert gas Argon purging preheat and inter-pass temperatures during welding;
  • Witness & Review the NDT activity like, DPT/MPT, PMI & Ferrite inspection, review RT films.
