Job Description

To manage and coordinate all project and site activities, having principal responsibility for ensuring the execution of the project in compliance with all contractual requirements and projected profit marginsEnsuring optimised resourcing is achievedCoordinating the work of the mobilization team to ensure that all necessary activities are reviewed with actions appropriately assigned, timescales agreed and relevant parties are briefed with new communication channels established where ever necessaryOperational:Lead preliminary planning stagesManage and coordinate resourcing and demobilisation requirements for respective project segments, including staffing and plant to ensure that these are accurate and realistic and that any necessary steps needed to supplyresources have been arrangedCoordinate, in conjunction with the Project Management Team, the development and establishment of the project planning package together with the mechanisms for monitoring subsequent progress against that planEnsures that corrective action is agreed and implemented at the appropriate level as and when variations from plans occurLiaise with relevant staff to ensure that the project monitoring system is implemented adequately and that output on financial performance is reviewed at the appropriate level and frequency to ensure effective control of the project budgetProvide adequate resources and expertise on site to ensure the effective supervision, monitoring and control of the work being undertaken to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards and our clients policy and proceduresClient and sub-contractor managementManagement & Leadership:Ensure that all employees are correctly inducted, understand the organisations goals and work together as one team to achieve theseFollow HR policies and procedures to ensure management consistency and emhance employee engagement at all levelsOccasionally lead proposal preparation effortsResolve any contractual/legal matters and ensures that appropriate action is taken which does not compromise nor expose our client to unnecessary riskAct as the Companys official representative with clients, suppliers, partners and third party contractors - negotiating terms and conditions where necessary, ensuring that Company interests are both optimised and protectedParticipate in a formal review of the project with relevant parties on completion and identify opportunities for learning and developmentEstablish and maintain good relations with clients, partners and local authorities aimed at safeguarding and promoting our Companys interestProvide commercial and technical input for the Commercial Department on a continuous review basis, when requested, ensuring that adequate provision is made for all proposed activitiesKeep abreast of industry developments and approves and manages the implementation of technological advances to enhance our clients capabilitiesHealth, Safety, Environment & Quality:Review Safety and QA/QC project plans with respective functional heads and submit to client for approvalEnsure that all site resources follow HSE rules and regulationsDrives a culture of zero harmPromote QHSE innovation & improvement within the teamImplement and comply with QHSE Management System REQUIREMENTS: Essential:BSc Engineering, B Tech or BE graduate (Civil)15+ years relevant experience in a Project Management, Earthworks, Civil role5+ years of working experience in the Middle EastStakeholder Management (for projects valued at $20m+)Outstanding negotiation skillsExcellent communication and people management skillsDesirable:PDO/OXY/BP/Orpic working experience or exposureExperience of managing large scale construction projects and thorough knowledge of general construction contract requirementsPrince2/ PMP or similar project management
