Job Title: Milking Parlor TechnicianReporting to: Maintenance Supervisor /Farm Manager/ Milking Herd ManagerReporting Staff: Parlor SupervisorsSalary: 300 OMR Negotiable + Free Food, Accommodation, Medical, Yearly ticket and other benefits as per companyResponsibilities:•Day to day Maintenance of all milking equipment, milk chillers & CIP equipment•Maintain agreed key milk quality targets & report any issues that could compromise milk quality•Strive to improve technical & parlor operational efficacy & report issues in a timely manner•Ensure the agreed milking parlor maintenance routine is carried on as scheduled & documented•Accurate collection & recording of data related to the milk parlor maintenance, spear part inventory & use•Diagnosis & resolution of equipment problems / breakdowns to ensure the milking routine is not disrupted•Work with the milking team to Ensure best practices in animal welfare milk quality are consistently achieved•Make sure parlor CIP chemicals are handled, used & stored in accordance with label recommendations•Ensure a hygienic, calmed, organized & safe working environment for all parlor staff & cows•Provide instruction & feedback to parlor staff to ensure a high level of milk quality & operational efficiency•Optimize the use of company resources in a sustainable & ethical manner•Provide leadership & on the job training to maintenance & milking parlor staff, identify training needs•Assist external equipment suppliers with installation works as required•Submit purchase requisitions for all milking parlor consumables in a timely mannerEssential Requirements:•Good motivational & leadership skills•Effective planning & delegation skills•Strong communication skills with a confident & presentable personalityEducation & Experience:•A minimum of 10 years of large dairy herd parlor experience or completion of internal At-Tahur training & 2 years hands on experience in all aspects of the above job description
