Job Description

Purpose of the JobTo conduct both first line and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of specialized mechanical rotating and its control systems. This job includes detailed and independent execution of RCA, trends analytics and working with vendors to optimize reliability and availability of equipment and systems.Principal AccountabilitiesExecute all assigned general mechanical rotating equipment maintenance activities (PM & CM) in a safe and operating standard.Provide specialist inputs for rotating equipment applications and problem solving.Calibrate, trouble-shoot and analyse field rotating equipment during abnormal conditionsConduct equipment or process parameters to be recorded and all checks to be carried out are captured in the log sheet at required frequency Assessment of maintenance contractors level of skill and equipment handling capabilities. Provide input to RCM [Reliability Centered Maintenance] and FMEA [Failure Mode and Effect Analysis] Asset integrity reviews, Equipment Health-checks, Asset/ Maintenance reference plan), scope challenge reviews.Record all preventive and corrective maintenance findings, breakdowns, feedbacks and improvements in SAP.Provide feedback and improvement inputs on Maintenance Craft Procedures and Maintenance Plans to the Maintenance Support Department.Carry out the required Rotating Equipment inspection tasks, i.e. Perform the non-negotiable tasks, laid down either by legal authorities or recognised "certifying bodies" or determined through a risk based process, to demonstrate system & equipment integrity in accordance with performance standard and deviations are recorded and authorized by the Technical authorityProvide technical support to operations and the start up team in the development of the commissioning, start up and operating procedures for discipline specific hardware. Execute and comply with Permit to Work System, manpower, materials, tools, services, spares, logistics, staff competences, data collection/reporting, and associated costs.Deputise as Maintenance Supervisor in the incumbents absence REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Qualifications NeededHND/HNC in Technical Studies or equivalent studies in plant maintenance specifically in instrumentation.At least 15 years relevant experience in E&P in oil, especially in Sour Oil/Sour Gas/Steam Generation facilitiesProven competence in general control and automation equipmentProven safety experience/training regarding sour oil and gas operations and maintenance.Familiar with PTW, confined space entry, lock open/lock close valves, operating integrity, H2S/SO2, personal protective equipment, etc.Physically able to climb stairs and perform maintenance work under air supplied breathing equipment.Working in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions.ChallengesWorking in a high H2S / Temperature environmentTo implement innovative and cost effective production techniques on a diverse facility range.Ability to work in a challenging and stressful environment thoughout the commissioning and start-up of the project.Working in Day/Night shift.Working in complex sour facility including novel and complex units such as steam (with power generation), CLAUS Sulphur Plant and Cansolv tail gas clean up.Key Job Competence Profile referencesDiagnose and trouble-shoot turbines- SkillDiagnose and trouble-shoot compressors- SkillDiagnose and trouble-shoot engines- SkillDiagnose and trouble-shoot pumps- SkillTesting & inspection of turbines, compressors, engines and pumps Skill
