Job Description

This position is for Omanis OnlyWho We AreA leading local distributor in Oman of a range of specialised international brands. We have multiple branches across the Sultanate through which we serve our diverse clientele across the construction, manufacturing, logistics, and oil & gas sectors, among others.Job PurposeTo ensure the maintenance of a healthy inventory through incorporating aspects of demand planning, ERP documentation, and cross-departmental liaison with key internal and external stakeholders.What We Expect You To Do

  • Analyse the inventory per brand and branch, and ensure correct stock distribution across branches.
  • Analyse the properties of each part number, and establish relevant inventory categories.
  • Analyse the sales demand against existing inventory and produce data-based forecasts.
  • Maintain consistent inventory levels through issuing of refill orders up to pre-authorised limit.
  • Analyse and establish automated inventory refill orders for high demand items.
  • Establish and maintain safety stock levels for high demand items.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies.
  • Establish and review product codes for dependencies, replacements, and discontinued production.
  • Establish and review inventory control policies for each product category.
  • Manage and maintain inventory systems; facilitate upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the Spare Parts Manager.
  • Exhibit positive, friendly, and helpful attitude, and have an eye for details.
  • Communicate in a clear and informative manner with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Liaison with inventory controllers on client side and incorporate their demand forecasts into our forecast.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to Department Manager
  • Look-out for improvement opportunities and suggest them to the Division and Department Managers.
  • Assist with physical inventory audits where and when required.
