Job Description

Ooredoo Oman Family Member:As the Engineer - Information Security you will be responsible for operating Security Operations Centre (SoC), conducting period security assessments & reviews, handling and responding to security incidents, correlating data & developing reports, in addition to other information security operational duties.Core Responsibilities:Your main responsibilities will be working closely with Information Technology and other relevant departments within Ooredoo to carry out reviews and other information security related activities, following up on security vulnerabilities, recommendations and risks with relevant departments to ensure on time closure, liaising with concerned parties prior to conducting security assessments.You will develop Information Security Operational Manual along with relevant parties and define all operational activities, developing and maintaining report templates, installing, configuring and maintaining SoC hardware and software, monitoring the network and the related components to ensure that levels of security standards are adhered to, developing and maintaining an Information Security Operations road map, preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly and on demand reports for various security systems, maintaining and managing Security Operations Centre, and identify new technologies to improve SoC function, developing and maintaining incident response guidelines.You will be managing and maintaining a risk tracker to follow up on open items, activating incident response plan in an event of a security breach, maintaining/monitoring assigned systems within environment to ensure optimal performance, submitting review and assessment reports to Section Head ISM Director in accordance with the reporting schedule, providing support in reviewing technical procedures and processes related to different systems within Ooredoo, ensuring all network activities are tracked and logged.The Person:To apply for this position you should have the followings:- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or relevant domain- 3+ years total working experience at least 1 years of Information & Network Security experience ideally in a technical environment where managing confidential information is paramount- Comprehensive technical knowledge in networking with strong background of underlying technology.- Hands one experience and ability to promptly grasp new technologies.- Good technical analytical skill sets and knowledge.- Knowledge on various security assessment methods and tools.- Ability to manage and monitor various systems effectively- Security web system, Filtering and Blocking devices for traffic management, content-based filtering, service protection (Blue Coat and Flow-Inspect REQUIREMENTS: Preferred certification(s):- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)- Security +Other relevant certificationTechnical Skills Required:- SoC management- Incident response- Risk assessment - Strong communication skill sets- Strong technical analytical skill sets- Good documentation and reporting skill sets- Fluent in English and ArabicBehavioural skills Required:- Strong communication and reporting skills- Analytical thinking and attention to detail- Good planning & organising skills- Self & quick learner- Responsive & Result Orientated- Team playerNote: you will be required to attach the following:- Resume / cv- Passport-size photograph
