Pre-flight Preparations- Prepare and update the Ramp Turnaround Activity Checklist for the incoming flight to plan, schedule and allocate adequate staff for all flights in Muscat airport and ensure that all flights is being handled by adequate Ramp Turnaround Coordinator and supporting staff with adequate availability of manpower ( porters, cleaners, Ramp personnel).- Check to ensure that all staff adhere to safety measures and dress code such as PPE and other related measures.- Coordinate with transport section to ensure that all vehicles are operationally safe to use and liaise with respective engineering or external party to take necessary action steps for repair.- Coordinate with the engineering department in carrying out engineering activities under the aircraft .- Coordinate with the following sections for providing special services to VIP and VVIP.- Transport and Cabin cleaning section: for carrying out cleaning services and proving special transportation- Apron Services: for providing adequate manpower- Baggage Handling Unit: for carrying out timely baggage handling services Flight on Ground- From the Ramp Turnaround Activity Checklist, check the number of passengers in the flight in order to position the equipment.- Ensure all passengers disembarked with adequate facilities to special need passengers such as wheelchair and unaccompanied minors.- Ensure the baggage loading-offloading is carried out based on flight and passenger priority.- Ensure that all cargo loading-offloading is carried out within the stipulated time.- Ensure that catering department sends right amount of food as per the passenger requirements.- Coordinate with Baggage Handling Unit to ensure timely baggage handling services is carried out to- from the aircraft and check if all baggage checked in at the counter is loaded into the aircraft.- Ensure that all loaded baggage are secured and latched in the aircraft and marshal steps ensuring safe operations in the RAMP area.Post Flight Activities- Prepare Flight Report giving complete information of passengers, baggage, catering and cargo of the departed flight and arrange to send it to the destination station - airport for their perusal.Other Duties- Ensure compliance to safety and security regulations.- Update knowledge of current company policy and procedures by reading, memo, circulars and manual updates. Ensure crosscheck that all LMC are incorporated prior to releasing messages and flight control to the next station e.g. LDM, CPM, PTM, PSM, SOM, etc.- File all messages and documents along with the service handling report and enter details in the daily traffic report and raise the handling charge notes.- Close communication with the Passenger Controller for changing-creating correct aircraft type and configuration version on the system; enable them to open flights for through check-in 36 hours before departure (as applicable). REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor degree in a related discipline having 1 year of work experience will be an advantage.- OR Two years college Diploma in a related discipline with 2 years of relevant- OR Specialised certificate / license with Secondary School certificate OR DGR License Category 10 and having 4 years of relevant experience preferably in Airline/Ground Handling experience either above or below the wing (in one or more core areas such as ramp, load control, passenger services and cargo) in any major international airport.
